I couldn’t resist taking this photo — a tangle of radishes, still with their roots on, half pink, half white, all a bit wild. The focus is slightly off (I was juggling coffee and camera at the time), but I quite like that. They’re not meant to be perfect.
There’s something so alive about produce like this — still a bit muddy, still shaped by the ground it came from. You can almost feel the morning bustle of the market in them: people calling out prices, paper bags rustling, the air smelling faintly of earth and herbs.
Sometimes the best photos aren’t the ones you plan. They’re the ones that just catch your eye while you’re queuing for bread.
