Project 365ish

Trying to take photos every day

Hermitage Rd.

This building has had a few lives. Long before it became the restaurant and bar it is now, it was a dance hall — and you can still see that in its bones. Those tall arched windows once poured light over the floor where couples moved in rhythm, and even now they give the place a kind of lift, as if the music never quite left.

I ran the photo through the Prisma app, which adds that soft, painterly effect — it brings out the textures in the brickwork and makes the glass shimmer slightly, like echoes of movement caught in the reflections.

There’s something lovely about how the old and new sit together here: the quiet elegance of those windows, the crisp modern lettering below, and the sense that every building holds its own memories — you just have to look long enough to see them.
